Update on New Haven Canvass Location and Schedule

We're moving on, Connecticut.

Here's an update on our New Haven Canvass, Saturday, June 9, 2007:

New Haven Walk for Change (Walk for Change, Featured)
Please join thousands of volunteers across the country on June 9th and hit the streets for the Walk for Change National Canvass being organized by grassroots supporters of Barack Obama. Bring this movement of change to the front doors of your neighbors and sign up now.

Afro-American Cultural Center at Yale
211 Park Street, The Game Room
(Lower Level - one flight down)
New Haven CT

08:00-09:00 AM: Site set up.

09:00- 10:00 AM: Registration, orientation, which includes a training session and video on the best practices for canvassing, and disbursement of canvass maps.

10AM-2:00 PM: Canvass various neighborhoods in New Haven.

2:00-3:30 PM Turn in of canvass materials, light refreshments and meet and greet fellow canvassers to talk about how the day went.

3:30-4:00PM Site clean up.

There is something for everyone at this canvass. Come out and join us for the entire time or if you have a couple of hours to spare, that's fine. It's up to you. \

For those of you who cannot walk for whatever reason, there will be opportunities to support the canvass at our stagging area (Afro-American Culture Center at Yale). We will show videos (on DVDs) that will play continuously of Barack's speeches on the issues and his policies, including his policy on health care. You'll have an opportunity to have one on one dialog with the New Haven and Yale community.
